Problem with gravity

As Thorsten has written, it's not only the Leica supplied strap that can cause premature death, or at least a nasty dent to your 'precious', but other straps too. It's nearly happened to me on a couple of occasions in a mere 6 months of ownership. I've switched to an A&A strap that appears to have a better keyring type thing to prevent the strap from becoming detached following the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

For those who haven't read the article, here it is:

whilst on the topic:

Freeze the Leica strap and camera so it will take longer to attain a lower state of order and detach (3rd law).

Or let the 2nd law apply and let the camera hit the ground. Matter and energy are neither created or destroyed, just converted so you might get better Leica (1st law).

I suppose it would be indelicate to suggest that one might occasionally just check their equipment?

By the way, gravity doesn't have a problem...

I was reading Thorsten's article a little further...   and he opened up a whole new way of thinking about camera straps for me... Thank you, Thorsten!

My goodness...  I must now retire to contemplate this new realm of thought....
