Stamford Public Library, High Street, Stamford, Lincs., UK, October 2020 prior to refurbishment. William Legg design 1803; portico to the former 'Shambles' market; 53 stalls including fish and butter market demolished 1868; adapted as a public library 1906.

Leica SL 601 / Leitz PA Curtagon R 35/4, ISO 1600, 1/320, f11; photographed 16 Oct. 2020.

The Curtagon 35/4 shift lens has an undeserved 'average' reputation documented by those who are unaware of how to optimise its 'shifted' images. When 'shifted', results are fine when stopped down to f11 - as per Schneider's recommendation. A very compact and easy to handhold PC lens. The f11 mode is much easier to use on a high ISO capable, digital mirrorless camera (with amplified live view) than on an SLR film camera.

Lovely photo.

It is always a good day when your horse is healthy and happy. We survived an episode of colic in the fall and are currently dealing with a leg injury but she is on the mend.

Happy and Healthy New Year!
