Some fun with shooting our alter-egos in NYC, care of the long winter shadows and the exposure latitude of FILM... :)

M-A, 28mm elmarit pre-asph, Portra 800 (and 400 for one of them)

Adam,

a very interesting project. There is a German photographer, I am sorry not to have her name present, who speceilaized in taking shots of only those shadows and then create very artistic images by a sandwich technique. No 1-3 here are of that type and have a great potential in an artistic sense. Keep going!

Thanks a lot, Iduna.  I find shooting these shadows to be a fun outlet.  It is a little odd, but that's part of the fun!  All the best, Adam

Well, your 240 has better control over highlights than the first MM for sure, dont know for sure about the newest MM

In any case, it depends on the type of film used, but a portra 400 or tri-x will allow for a good 4-6 stops of overexposure before all highlight detail is definitatively lost. It is a beautiful thing.
