Iduna Posted February 5, 2016 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2016 Adam, a very interesting project. There is a German photographer, I am sorry not to have her name present, who speceilaized in taking shots of only those shadows and then create very artistic images by a sandwich technique. No 1-3 here are of that type and have a great potential in an artistic sense. Keep going!

It is a little odd, but that's part of the fun! All the best, Adam

Steve Ricoh Posted February 7, 2016 Share #14 Posted February 7, 2016 I guess that's the view you would get looking from the Southern Hemisphere Good exposure control.
A miller Posted February 8, 2016 Author Share #15 Posted February 8, 2016 Good exposure control. Thanks, Steve. It's all about the exposure latitude of the film. The MM i had would have crashed and burned in these settings, which is why i sold it...
Steve Ricoh Posted February 8, 2016 Share #16 Posted February 8, 2016 Interesting - in terms of DR, how many stops increase c.f. the MM, or more pertinent to my situation the M240?
A miller Posted February 8, 2016 Author Share #17 Posted February 8, 2016 Well, your 240 has better control over highlights than the first MM for sure, dont know for sure about the newest MM In any case, it depends on the type of film used, but a portra 400 or tri-x will allow for a good 4-6 stops of overexposure before all highlight detail is definitatively lost. It is a beautiful thing.
