I recently bought the above flash. Today I went to use it for the first time. I loaded the batteries, pressed the on/off butto and nothing happened. I then attached it to my Q and the same.

 

Before I try to get warranty service I just want to know if I am doing something wrong.

 

Also, can someone tell me hopw to find the serial number?

Hold the Button for 1 or 2 seconds, and if you try to use rechargeable batteries be sure they are 1,5 Volt not 1,2. When you turn the flash down you can see the Leica Sticker with the serial number just underneath the "made in China" Logo.

Thanks for the information. The flash is not working. I will have to find out where to send it for repair.

I had the same issue. Tried 3 sets of batteries still no luck. I got it as a Christmas present I returned it to the vendor and my replacement is on the way from B&H. If it is new why not just exchange it or is that not available in your location?
