IkarusJohn Posted January 29, 2016 Share #42 Posted January 29, 2016 There are many reasons the SL is a great camera - relatively compact, EVF, AF IS, weather sealing etc etc There was one reason I bought the SL - to complement the M cameras and lenses I have. The M is great for its limited effective range using manual focus lenses with the optical viewfinder. I bought those cameras for their simplicity and clarity of purpose. But, I soon found that I needed more. I tried the Nex-5n, A7r, D800e and Leica T and none of them really worked for me. I decided no more Leica cameras for me, then Leica released what I'd been asking for for the last 5 years - an all singing, all dancing electronic camera that has its own AF line of lenses and which plays well with M lenses.
