stuny Posted December 30, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 30, 2015 Beautiful. I don't recall seeing this the last time we were in that museum. It seems very refined, suggesting modern techniques.
Louis Posted December 30, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted December 30, 2015 And there I was looking for a river steamer.... Nice shot. Ethiopian origin? Thanks Jaap. Sorry, no Bogart here!... If I can recall, I think it was from Benin! But I am too far away now to go and check! Beautiful. I don't recall seeing this the last time we were in that museum. It seems very refined, suggesting modern techniques. Much appreciated, Stuart. But I am not very sure about it being modern!.... I must look more carefully next time I am in DC! 42942 Posted December 30, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 30, 2015 Dear Louis, Popping colors and sharpness. But what makes this picture for me is the shadow counterbalancing the sculptured head and its reflection. A picture which could be viewed on 3 levels actually. Great stuff! Bonne année a toi et a ta famille! Tibor

Bonne année a toi et a ta famille! Tibor Tres cher Tibor, Thank you so much for your kind words.... I waited long time to have that silhouette on the right at the right place! I saw her there, but she was moving a lot, and there were many other visitors who were all over the place and on the way. Finally, I got luck and acted fast! Une tres bonne annee a toi et toute ta famille, tres cher ami,
