Sorry to ask too much these days but i am at the end of mu decision.Wendsday i will be at the store to buy my SL.I will be selling my M240P till the new M comes out.I have 50mm Apo and i am really fall in love with it.

From my other topics i decided to buy 24-90mm.I will use M lenses for street photpgraphy and 24-90mm for photo spesific trips, studio and whenever i need AF.

The store has 28mm summilux in stock which is rare .If i buy it it will be a good compliment with 50mm Apo to use with SL and future M.But zoom has 28mm focal lenght so i will have double 28mm.

So i tought 21mm SEM would be good for covering wider than the zoom range.

Up to date i have just saw one lens which is like 50mm Apo.Zeiss 35mm 1.4 ZM.It has similar perfection, colour,POP and 3d like rendering of 50mm Apo

So if 28mm Lux up there with those two lenses than i will go for it.If now 21mm Sem would be great.

So what dou you suggest?

Again, sorry for askin too much but quite a lot money will be paid so need to be sure.

Thanks

I have both.  They are both great lenses.  Both work well on the SL, the 28 exceptionally well. I would think the 1.4 aperture of the 28 would open up more opportunities not covered by the 24-90 with its 2.8 aperture.  And the SX28 is a good size to balance on the SL; the 21 is a bit small.  Of course, if you got a 21 Summilux... but let's be reasonable.  It's your call.  Handle them both.

The two lenses you mention have such different styles and perspectives. IMHO, don't know how one can compare them.

Purely subjective input (from a wide angle fanatic) is that there are three absolute masterpieces in current Leica line:

APO 50 Summicron-M

SE 24 ASPH -S

28 Summilux-M
