Sam Posted December 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The biggest annoyance for me with the Leica M is the ridiculously long cable that comes with the charger. I was disappointed to find that the charger didn't have a flip-out plug, but instead as a stupidly long, stiff plastic-like cable which makes it awkward and bulky for packing and traveling. To the rescue...a shorty version of the cable I found on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMWIVEG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 $6.95 delivered if your Amazon Prime. pop Posted December 21, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2015 This is just a standard connector. As I usually carry more devices when traveling as just this one charger, I have usable cables with me, anyway, and I will not be using all of them at the same time. Jed Orme Posted December 21, 2015 Share #9 Posted December 21, 2015 In addition to the L plug shown above, anyone with Apple connectors probably also has one of their similar looking L plugs where the wall connecting prongs fold into the casing. I use this on my Leica charger & it works perfectly.

Those of use who bought electrical equipment in the UK before a few years ago are quite prepared to snip and then rewire the plug. You and I can shorten any length of cable to a 3 pin plug in a few minutes with no fuss whatsoever. All the same I do have a handy L shaped plug for use in mainland Europe. pgk Posted December 22, 2015 Share #13 Posted December 22, 2015 What happened with knowing how to wire a plug.... H&S, PIAT Testing, Electrical Certifications, but perhaps more importantly, total confusion of all three and more. Fuji used to supply a UK plug with about 6 inches of cable which is very handy - the S2Pro with which it came is long gone but I still use the plug with my Leica chargers.
