Bill W Posted December 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) My new S007 had a charging issue after I did the initial charge. The first charge went fine and all of the bars showed the battery to be fully charged. After about two hundred shots, I hooked it up again to charge and came back later and both lights were blinking rapidly. This indicated a fault but I did not know if it was the battery or the charger. It had charged to about 80%. I cycled the battery in the camera and it would not charge again for more than five minutes without going into fault mode. I first contacted Leica and left a message on Monday to call me. I contacted my dealer and he got in touch with his Leica rep and the rep contacted the Leica S product specialist. I had explained in detail what I had done and what was going on. I requested a battery and charger to be sent overnight. Tuesday they emailed me and said a battery and charger were on their way and to just send back the offending battery and charger. Basically I got extremely good customer service in a short period of time and I could not be happier. I am not sure if it is Leica's policy to overnight parts but I asked and they did..... Has anyone else had a battery or charger issue?

Bill W Posted December 9, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted December 9, 2015 My issue appears to be with the charger. I hooked up the new battery to the old charger and it went into fault mode after five minutes into the charging cycle. The old battery hooked up to the new charger is charging fine so far.
