Quite a set.  I am sure people who were sitting on the edge will be tempted to part with their money and buy an SL.  An then realise too late that it's the photographer, not the camera.  A beautiful set.

i agree a fantastic set. I don't agree about it being the photographer, if that was the case then all the Leica sales people are full of shit........... as they all told me that Leica cameras take better pictures :) :)

A green monster - with 90/280. The 90/280 is havy and big - but it is a fantastic lens.

OK I take back everything I said. That lens works very well (though it will still be very large and unweildly).

It's interesting isn't it, how a lens that was desgined over 100 years ago and manufatured probably 20 years ago, and has just four elements in it, can produce such good reults. And you can buy this lens for something like $400 today.

didnt I read somewhere today that it's the photographer not the equipment :) :)

Seriously though the files I get out of the Leica Soo7 and S lenses knock spots off everything elase that I have........ I'm going to only keep my S gear and let everything else go....... iPhone 7 for everything else :)

Slug and snail on woodland tree trunk

I'm a rookie mollusc watcher and need to buy a book to identify these positively … but the slug is likely a 'tree slug'.

Leica SL/24-90 at 90mm with stacked 77mm 2 diopter and 4 diopter achromatic close-up lenses; ISO 800, 1/10sec f18 … camera supported on Arca Monoball / Baby Benbo tripod . Focus achieved by rocking tripod back and forth   … DOF very shallow thus several exposures taken at various 'best focus' positions. Photo stacking was not an option.

cont'd ….

… this was slugs' and snails' bluebell woodland habitat near Helpston (John Clare countryside) Peterborough … visit was to photograph the bluebells but they were past their best and 'rain stopped play' … so then photographed a few slugs and snails on the tree trunks
