Rick Posted October 26, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was just wondering if dealers are seeing sales of the M picking up now that the SL was announced rather than anything M-like? The current M looks as if it will be current for another year. Rick
Advertisement Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Hi Rick, Take a look here M240 selling well again?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jdlaing Posted October 26, 2015 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2015 Down here the two dealers are selling about the same pace as it has been.
Steve Ricoh Posted October 26, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2015 Leica's summer reduction of £500 off the M240, and similarly off the M-P 240, is due to finish at the end of October. It helped me in my choice, plus the dealer I chose reduced the price by another £200, that certainly helped with my decision making. it will be interesting to see where the M goes next, but if the current model does the job, why should I change / upgrade. Luke_Miller Posted October 29, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2015 For the first time I can remember my (online) Leica dealer has no new digital Ms in stock. I have to assume that either they are not available or that he is reducing inventory for some reason.
Olsen Posted November 3, 2015 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2015 The reason why Leica can 'reduce prices' in the US is the strong US dollar. The dollar has strengthened more than 20% to the Euro in less than 52 weeks.... But beware: Now the Euro has started climbing back to old hights. My advice to my fellow Leica enthusiasts in the US: Buy now!
