Leica Summilux-M 50 mm F/1.4 Lens Cap

Hello,

 

I've purchased a used lens, a silver Summilux-M 50mm F/1.4 Aspherical Lens and it comes with a black front lens cap.

Does anyone know if there is a silver front cap for this lens? I've looked online but can't find any solid answer.

The old medal slip-on caps were silver, they fit the 39mm lenses, not sure about any other sizes.  

 

Here's a current gray cap, called Rimmzz, they fit 43-62mm lenses and can be quite versatile, not quite Leica quality but they work well and fit the hard to find 60mm filter lenses:

Your lens should be using E46 filter,so far only Leica E46 clip on Lens cover is applicable.You can use a caliper to measure the outer diameter of the detachable lens hood to check the length.May be there is a silver Leica cap from previous Leica lenses that will match your requested lens.

Don't know if anyone is still watching this post. The cap for a 50mm f/1.4 Summilux-M (NOT ASPH) with a reversed 12586 lens hood is 14163. The chrome metal cap is 14036.

+1 and the black push-on lens cap is 14123 but your lens is a 50/1.4 v1 or v2 i guess, neither v3 nor asph as the OP's. Problem with v3 and asph is they have a built-in hood contrary to your v2 and Leica does not provide push-on hood caps for them.
