I'd deferred posting cityscapes and urban landscapes, I certainly have plenty.

Perhaps we should have another thread for Australian city & urban?

Some photos taken within the cities still qualify as landscapes (i.e., primarily natural rather than man-made environment)

Any opinions?

I have some cityscapes to share if that thread gets started.

'Scares Country and/or Urban?.....my two cents worth....they would all fit in comfortably here and help to keep this thread turning over nicely. Go for it you city blokes!  :)

Dee, I personally I think that we should separate them to primarily natural environment vs man-made environment but not more than two 'Australiana' threads.

I agree calling it 'Cityscapes' may then limit the suburbs, beaches, towns, etc.

Sorry David but opens capes doesn't ring

Australian Cities & Towns - Open Thread

or

Australian Urban & Suburban - Open Thread

or

any other ideas?

If it goes ahead maybe a kind Australian Mod such as Erl ;-) could move the urban/suburban photos in this thread (and their relevant comment posts) over to the new thread.

Thanks Mark! Yeah I used to use their Kodak Portra 400 profile but switched to the Fuji 800Z a while ago as I liked the tones and colour a bit more.

I've tweaked the present to reduce the quite noticeable grain setting but it's still there to add the dithering.

Hi Nick,

welcome to the thread.

These are exquisite, especially #4, although #s 1& 5 are very impressive.

The VSCO Fujicolor 800Z profile is lovely. I will have to try it.

Regards,

Mark

This one is Burrows Park in Clovelly, Sydney - I hope posted in the right place, I shoot a lot of these - no City in shot - seascapes around Sydney, seemed most in keeping with this thread

Perfect, and welcome to the thread. Although in the city I think this is fine here.

I live near Clovelly and have posted numerous photographs from there on a number of occasions (just search Clovelly).

I've a number of photos taken from where you were standing but without the rainbow!

Keep posting.

Regards,

Mark

Dee,

your fenceline-picture and the following recent posts are all excellent. I specially like the toning which is adding to the impression of depth. The compositions are as always very carefully set.
