platypus Posted November 18, 2015 Share #281 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Heartfelt thanks to you Iduna for your encouraging feedback. I'm sure I'm not alone in my appreciation of the time that you spend to really look at, and to critique in depth, the work of other photographers, including my own. You consistently do so with such genuine interest and knowledge, always taking the time and trouble to comment in depth. The sort of interest you take in the work of others is what really makes this Forum go round. Edited November 18, 2015 by platypus

Iduna Posted November 19, 2015 Share #283 Posted November 19, 2015 On the road to Jindabyne, rural decay. M Monochrom/APO 50 Dee, your picture is excellent and interesting: it shows a typical feature of agriculture, lets imagine how much land you need and neglect in a dry country for cattle if you do not have rich pastures. The composition, contrast, texture, toning - all is fine.

I find this forum by far the best what I have seen in the internet. It is advanced and people love their gear. Therefore it is worthwhile to have an exchange of knowledge and experience and feedback on your work and learn a lot of things.

david strachan Posted November 20, 2015 Share #288 Posted November 20, 2015 Iduna's been with us from the start. I'd previously proposed she be made an honorary Aussie Sheila, she was so keen on our pages... Dee love your smokey high plains. Your monochrome work often looks like medium format stuff. the quality of your gear, and of course your skill, make your images pop. Mark... platypus Posted November 20, 2015 Share #289 Posted November 20, 2015 Lars, thanks so much for your delightful comment...and thank you for following our country's landscapes! Dave, thank you too for your appreciation. You would remember that the combination of the MM and APO 50 was originally touted as being as close as one could get to MF, without the whole bigness of MF.....and sometimes it seems that they were right in making that claim. Also I am privileged to live in this unique part of Australia, very stark and very beautiful. Mark, love your Tamar River shot, that poor, sad little boat...the colours are just perfect, so subtle and muted, a watercolour painting.
