John Ricard Posted September 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does an adaptor exist that would allow me to use Sony lenses on the M240 body? (I know the opposite exists -Sony lenses on Leica body, but that isn't what I am looking for.)
Advertisement Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hi John Ricard, Take a look here Can I use Sony lenses on Leica body?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 22, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2015 No - the register distance will prevent it. (unless you want to use them for macro), assuming you mean E-mount If you want to use Sony Alpha/Minolta SLR lenses, Novoflex sells an adapter. John Ricard Posted September 22, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted September 22, 2015 Thanks for responding. Was actually hoping to use this Mikron 0.95 lens on the M240 with EVF. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1072733-REG/mitakon_mtk50mf095bk_50mm_for_0_95_lens.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw-IOwBRD1wrTC27fSjFISJABUDZ17wGiCoWB0prXq12dkPNXk-EKqRubYyEqGGNvUhgYXyxoC-dHw_wcB

John Ricard Posted September 24, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted September 24, 2015 i jumped from sony to leica for its lenses and never been attempted to go the other way round, sony lenses on M body I understand where you're coming from, but I'd love to have a 50mm 0.95 for my M240 coming in at $1,000 instead of $3,000 for the SLR Magic version and $10,000 for the Leica version... Kieseki Posted September 25, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 25, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Voigtlander makes a 50mm f/0.95 Nokton lens for the M-mount if you want a cheap option. But I believe it gets a mixed reception from users.
jaapv Posted September 25, 2015 Share #8 Posted September 25, 2015 Well, let's make that Nokton a nominal 1.1 In reality a bit slower still, I understand.

asiafish Posted September 25, 2015 Share #11 Posted September 25, 2015 Voigtlander makes a 50mm f/0.95 Nokton lens for the M-mount if you want a cheap option. But I believe it gets a mixed reception from users. It gets mostly poor reviews from technical testers, and mostly good reviews from actual photographers. John Ricard Posted September 25, 2015 Author Share #12 Posted September 25, 2015 From what I can tell, the SLR Magic has the swirly background elements similar to the Leica Noctilux but the Voitglander does not.

CheshireCat Posted September 26, 2015 Share #14 Posted September 26, 2015 From what I can tell, the SLR Magic has the swirly background elements similar to the Leica Noctilux but the Voitglander does not. You should say which of the 3 totally different Noctilux versions. Anyways, the SLR Magic is the poor man's Noctilux 0.95, and like that one has no swirly background. It must also be noted that the Voigtlander is RF coupled, while the $3000 SLR Magic is not, and can only be used in Live View mode. There was a more expensive RF-coupled version that is very hard to find. I nave no experience with the Mitakon, but at that price, sound interesting.
