dbchun Posted September 19, 2015 Share #1  Posted September 19, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Been looking to pickup a used Voigtlander Color-Skopar 21mm/f4 and I'm seeing some great deals for the L39 screwmount version  Does the adapter I've linked here effectively work to convert a L39 to a M-mount?  I haven't handled one in person so I can't figure out if swapping out the lens flange also changes the way it mounts.   Would be great if it does since this also has the option to 6-bit code the lens.  I want to use it on both my M6 and T, and for the T it uses the M-T adapter so I'd like to minimize the number adapters I'm stacking.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-bit-flange-adapter-for-Voigtlander-voigtlander-Leica-M8-M9-lens-21mm-28mm-90mm-/360448900971?hash=item53ec6dbf6b  thanks
Advertisement Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Hi dbchun, Take a look here Would this adapter convert L39 (screwmount) to M-mount?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted September 19, 2015 Share #2  Posted September 19, 2015 Just buy a normal LTM to M adaptor, no need to change the mount at all.
jaapv Posted September 19, 2015 Share #3 Â Posted September 19, 2015 No- it would not. This is what you need: Â https://www.cameraquest.com/adaptltm.htm
dbchun Posted September 19, 2015 Author Share #4 Â Posted September 19, 2015 thanks for the input! Â now that I think about it, is the 6-bit coding even necessary if I'm using this on a Leica-T due to the ~1.5x crop factor? Â Other than having the EXIF data my only concern was the lens correction but now I'm not sure if that's even necessary unless I was shooting on a full frame sensor. luigi bertolotti Posted September 21, 2015 Share #5  Posted September 21, 2015 I see you plan to use this lens on M6 and T : no coding needed for any even if, as you say the M adapter of T can recognize and record a 6 bit code : apart exif data, I doubt it has a sense to code the CV 21 (btw, it would be very dubious to decide WHICH code put on it ...)
