Advertisement Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Hi fastcar888, Take a look here Previous camera before Q. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
katsanes Posted September 10, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2015 Most recently x100s, I sold my X-T1 and 3 lenses to help fund the Q (which I have yet to receive). I love the x100s, it will be used by my girlfriend.

Adalsteinn S.H. Posted September 10, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 10, 2015 Fuji X100, Fuji X100s, Sony RX1, and now Leica Q. Loved them all actually but own just the Q today which is about perfect.
ricky1981 Posted September 10, 2015 Share #6 Posted September 10, 2015 Fuji X100, Fuji X100s, Sony RX1, and now Leica Q. Same sequence for me (once my Q arrives), also have an Olympus E-M1 which I am keeping for when I need to go wider than 28mm or longer than 50mm as well as some of the handy stuff like Live Composite which I love. sturkel Posted September 10, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Great question, So digilux 2, the Type 109, and my Nikon DF, and Fuji X100, all for my own use. Nikon D3s and D4 for my event work. I have had the Sony A7ii and gave up on using it, just did not work for me. Just started using the Q on events and it is so responsive, a joy to use. I may end up using a radio on it and use for more of my work.

dangorange Posted September 11, 2015 Share #9 Posted September 11, 2015 My first digital camera was a Panasonic GF1. Previously I had been coming off a decade or more with my Rolleiflex which just no longer made sense, for me. The GF1 was actually a perfect transition since my daughter was just being born and I knew I would be not only taking a ton of photos, but did not want to drag a giant DSLR around with me and needed fast AF. It was and still is a great camera, mostly due to the 20mm prime, shot some really nice stuff with it. Now that my daughter is 5, and I'm not (cough) taking as many photos of her... And I've found myself a bit outdated and quite frankly bored with my set up. I started researching, knew I wanted full frame, went through the whole looking into the gamut of new DSLR's, Sony's etc. and fell in love with the Q. I like a bit of a wide focus length, I'm used to fixed lens, I figured I'd be spending around this much for a full set up. The Q is amazing, even when they come out with the next best thing, you can't brush under the rug a camera like this. Plus, I'm saving money not being able to buy extra lenses for it! Not that I'd use them.
Big T Posted September 11, 2015 Share #10 Posted September 11, 2015 X100 - Will keep this one. XT-1 - Still have and will hold onto for a while. If it goes unused will sell it. Olympus TG4 - Keeping as a great little backup / rough conditions grab camera.
AndrewDD Posted September 11, 2015 Share #11 Posted September 11, 2015 M 240, which I use about 80% of the time. Much better than the Q, which I have found rather disappointing.
Mr.Q Posted September 11, 2015 Share #12 Posted September 11, 2015 RX1R - was my main camera, used for 80% of my shots. sold to fund the Q A7S - still have to cover wider and tele focal range (Lenses - WATE, FE55, 90AA)
biblios Posted September 11, 2015 Share #13 Posted September 11, 2015 Sony RX1. Miss the compact size but that is all. The Q is not perfect but getting close.
dancook Posted September 11, 2015 Share #14 Posted September 11, 2015 On the run up to the Leica Q I sold (or have for sale) canon 5dm3, 200mm f2.0 IS USM, 135mm f2.0, 85mm f1.2 II, Zeiss 21mm f2.8 sony a7s, 35mm 1.4 zeiss distagon and all my lighting equipment and filters. So that was life before the Q.
Daniel_G Posted September 11, 2015 Share #15 Posted September 11, 2015 I also had the RX1R and sold it for the Q.
iJeff Posted September 11, 2015 Share #16 Posted September 11, 2015 Fuji X100T. Sold it to fund the Q.
Lucky Posted September 11, 2015 Share #17 Posted September 11, 2015 Sony RX1, great IQ and compact but lousy to focus AF and MF, keeping it for some occasions when it is great to have an unobtrusive point and shoot in your pocket. Nikon 1 for tele and Ultra wide zoom; compact and fast but mediacore IQ. Love the User Interface of the Q but would like to see some kind of custom menue like the Leica T. hawk.kat Posted September 11, 2015 Share #18 Posted September 11, 2015 X100s sold. Still keeping my OMD EM5. Will probably buy the X100 again if they ever make a more robust weather proof version.
-Lss- Posted September 11, 2015 Share #19 Posted September 11, 2015 Sony RX1. Miss the compact size but that is all. A lot of (former) RX1 owners. I'm not surprised. The Q seems to address many of the issues on this camera. I have the RX1R myself and would probably switch, if the two cameras were the same size. As is, I would like to have them both. sturkel Posted September 11, 2015 Share #20 Posted September 11, 2015 I find it very interesting how the Q has acquired a whole new group of users for Leica. Most of what I am seeing is Fuji and Sony users switching to the Q. This must be a great story at Leica these days. IMO the time was right for Leica to introduce the Q.
