I also don't shoot that often at f5.6 due to the need for DOF for most of my shooting. But, I believe the lens gets sharper at f5.6 and is probably most critically sharp at f8. I also like my A7 with CY Zeiss (28/2.8 & 50/1.7) but the XV is the finest digital camera I've ever owned. ps..my GXR w/M mount is a close 2nd or 3rd.
