I favor the color version. Like to see the colors; however the bw would be more dramatic for publishing. Need to cleanup the hair strands. Great Shot

Thanks for sharing

John

Thank you for commenting. This one is intended for the MUA portfolio so perhaps the colour version is favoured. I understand the convention on cleaning up stray hairs, however they are intentional here.

I had an opportunity today to briefly try the Summicron S 100 f/2 at a Leica S workshop guided by Darren Centofanti
Here their loan S (Typ 007) and Summicron S shot at f/2 using the modelling globe only in the Bowens Para.

many great portraits!

I do much prefer the color versions. Colors are very nice, even they are strong they are still subtile.

The BW convertions are not to my taste, either it's the way the S(lenses) captures, or the converting.

I only have the SL myselves, where I usualy prefer even just the simple click on the BW tab.

Thanks for looking and commenting. Colour vs BW of course is an unanswerable conundrum. Personally if my primary aim is BW I might typically light or look for light that suits best. Otherwise it is a case of developing an image completely in colour firstly then trying conversions. Each of us with our own perspective. I have used and keep learning different conversion methods.

There are photos made with S lenses on the S2 ,S (Typ 007) and the SL with 24-90 here. Of course the versions that you see are influenced by my developing choices. The default colour rendition with the two S sensors is noticeably different. With the SL the most noticeable difference for me is that the S ((Typ 007) has a larger dynamic range (when that matters) and seems to benefit more from higher capture sharpening defaults too.

Geoff, I enjoyed all your shots a lot!

I only wish this site would allow us to see the exif without wasting time to copy them on our PC and go through all this nonsense! ...

Thank you for looking and commenting Louis. I hadn't given much thought to the preserved EXIF info and it has possibly bee stripped or retained depending on software upgrade defaults/choices. There are no secrets though and I am happy to share anything of interest to you anytime that you may ask.

Overdue to add some new content in my threads here. My excuse is that I have been shooting a lot and editing a LOT
These are from a Macro Beauty Project with three HMUA friends for our portfolios. We were lucky to have three amazing models and all together we produced nine looks on the day.
All these with Leica S (Typ 007) APO Macro Summarit S 120

HMUAS were Siminee Campbell, Melissa Taylor and Katrina Burgess. Models Isabel O'Callaghan, Jasmine Jakich and Nadja Pop
