Not sure how warranty would work, either, if one purchased from them.  Not sure how it works with Leica and pricing, but I've always presumed that their retail price is consistent and that any authorized seller must follow that guideline.  Perhaps I am wrong? By European law, Leica will extend warranty to all their products, irrespective of the channel the customer acquired it through. The policy of local importers will differ.
