earleygallery Posted June 10, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 10, 2015 Be careful, regular scams include fake paypal emails and chargebacks for stolen credit cards. When selling on ebay I will wait a few days before posting more expensive items in case of fraudulent accounts. As you're not selling through ebay you don't have the full seller protection, but to be fair if the buyer is genuine then neither do they have buyer protection. One thing to note is that paypal seller protection requires proof of sending and delivery of an item - so no protection at all if the buyer collects. I would state that cash on collection is the only option you'll accept, or payment by bank transfer in advance.

I have usually made excellent experiences dealing with forum members, I appreciate the lack of lowballers, fraudsters and other timewasters around here. earleygallery Posted June 10, 2015 Share #8 Posted June 10, 2015 Key thing here is trust your instinct. You were obviously not sure so started the thread - and it appears your doubts are justified. Always trust gut instinct. It's rarely ever wrong!
