StrawberryJam Posted February 17, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) So far happy with everything about the camera. It's my old type 1 on the camera with a super fuzzy front element which the digital sensor makes very apparent unfortunately.

ayewing Posted February 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the forum. No doubt when your bank balance has recovered from the purchase of the camera the itch to get some new glass will set in. Best wishes,

wda Posted February 17, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the forum, StrawberryJam! Have you considered having your old lens serviced? Unless the front element has been irretrievably softened in the past, you might be surprised at how good it could perform. Just a thought. Otherwise, consider adding a more modern 35mm or 28mm Leica lens.
StrawberryJam Posted February 17, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the forum, StrawberryJam!Have you considered having your old lens serviced? Unless the front element has been irretrievably softened in the past, you might be surprised at how good it could perform. Just a thought. Otherwise, consider adding a more modern 35mm or 28mm Leica lens. Thank you, all, for the warm welcome. I hope to be able to contribute something good back. About the having the lens serviced - it performs "well enough" on my film Leicas but I like the idea because I really like the color rendition especially together with Portra film. How would I go about it? Send it to Leica or could you recommend any who provides such services?
