Echo63 Posted February 12, 2015 Share #1  Posted February 12, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I posted over in the lens subsection about my DIY extension tube the other day, and today took it out for a play in the garden.  I struggled a little with focusing, due to the narrow DOF, and only having two points of contact on the camera (would be a bit easier to hold still with a EVF or Hoodloupe on the LCD)  C+C is welcome, but bear in mind this was just mucking around for 20 mins before i headed off to work.  EXIF is wrong too, other than being an M240, and showing the correct SS and ISO (lens selected as a 90 Macro Elmar, its really a 50 Summarit f2.5 on a set of body and lens caps superglued together) Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted February 13, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted February 13, 2015 Interesting images. Working with extension tubes is not easy on subjects that can move. I'd say you did very well.

Thanks NW wanderer - it was a real challenge ! The DOF is so thin its difficult to hold steady enough to get a sharp pic - especially with the grass moving in the breeze !
