Stealth3kpl Posted January 9, 2015 Share #1  Posted January 9, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) A chap on one of the Facebook film groups just 3D printed some caps to turn a 35mm canister into a 120 camera useable form. I don't know how you're supposed to frame your shots, but some of you might be interested in the continued innovation of film users if not actually using it yourself: 35mm To 120 Height Canister Convertor | eBay  I guess you'll need a changing bag to get it out.  If you've access to a 3D printer, he's even given to code to make your own: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:323120 Or you can order here, and also order a takeup spool: http://pinholeprinted.com/order/35mm-film-to-120-spool-adapter/  Here's someone else's version: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stonemute/tags/handmade/ Pete

Keith (M) Posted January 9, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted January 9, 2015 Inventive! My Rolleicord Vb can apparently use 35mm film by adding a 'Rolleikin' adaptor. Have always wondered though why anyone would want to downsize their 6x6cm to 35mm. Â I know, I know - am standing by to be deluged with reasons! 250swb Posted January 9, 2015 Share #3 Â Posted January 9, 2015 The Mamiya 7 can use a 'panoramic' insert to use 35mm film so I imagine it would be for a similar purpose, using the adapter a 7cm wide image could be made on a 6x7 camera for example. But it is no different to cropping the full MF 120 image anyway unless after the calculations are done 35mm film in panorama format turns out to be cheaper per shot. chrism Posted January 9, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted January 9, 2015 Don't buy one if you rely on a red window to wind on the film! Even on MF format cameras that don't rely on a red window, the spacing will be odd, with say, 12 35mm frames each centred on where the corresponding 6x6 frame would have been. But full marks for inventiveness! Â Chris

pico Posted January 16, 2015 Share #6 Â Posted January 16, 2015 Without support for the 35mm film edges, flatness could be an issue, but I can't knock a person for having fun experimenting.
