The former sounds more mechanical and crisp….

You mean just before it's drowned out by the loud motor re-cocking whirr?

Not only doesn't the M240 have that sound (which is what most folks complain about, not the shutter sound itself), but the shutter action and feel is much improved IMO.

Why not!

75mm is a beautiful length for many landscapes. If it's the one you have, it's the one you use.

I actually use a Noctilux, at f1, for many of my landscapes. That probably puzzles you too. It is very lberating to use a lens in an unconventional way, at least for me.

Beautuful shot but 75 Lux for landescape?!

Puts:

"The Summilux 75mm has its specific strengths when used in the photographic domain for which it has been designed. If you need the maximum aperture of f/1.4 and/or the pictorial effects and special style of imagery possible with the 75mm Summilux-M, this lens should be in your tool kit. Stopped down to f/5,6 the Summilux equals the performance of the 90mm f/2 Apo- Summicron-M ASPH at this same aperture, which is some act."

it's also quite good for wildlife:
