Brent...I am trying not to dredge the world for a nice M6 or M4P! William already thinks I am looney because I want a 75/1.4....the Summicron version is quite nice though as evidenced by what I've seen.

Paul & Dan,

Glad you enjoyed.

Ron,

As Dan said, for this subject on this day this was it! Trust me, you could not have done better, given what surrounds this pile of shoes..., but I know you'd have blown half a roll trying! :D

BTW, 250K really crunches this shot. The light and textures on the full file are much more attractive with this, your 2nd favorite lens. :)

Ron's right the framing could be improved IMHO - simply by cropping out the concrete on the top right hand side. Colour and texture is excellent, though I'd have liked the foreground to have been sharper.

This is the best of the rail road shots that you shown us William, thanks for sharing.

William, if i could not manage it with one or two frames, I would forget this subject and have a good drink instead. But seeing your shot, i could easily crop it in Photoshop without wasting one single frame of my own film ;)

We know that William doesn't like cropping, but maybe getting a little closer would have produced a similar result?

Obviously, the DOF characteristics would change in moving position, but the concrete would have disappeared as a result.

Andy, I don´t want to crop afterwards, but know which would be my framing when shooting this with the 75. More details, closer.

But this is Williams shot and he got the best of what he wanted.

I think that's what I said :)

I obviously can't retake this shot, but I have been playing around with "closer" in PS, and there's some interesting patterns in there. This pile of shoes has lots of potential.
