mirekti Posted November 7, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2014 That's funny. Are these Leica made? Do they appear straight in the add photo when looking from the back of the camera?

DMJ Posted November 7, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 7, 2014 I have an 8mm red one & it writing positions correctly, though it did need a slight turn more than I would have liked. Most annoying if it doesn't align correctly.
leica1215 Posted November 7, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted November 7, 2014 It's not effect on shooting, but it does annoy me. Rather not have the Leica script on it

ayewing Posted November 20, 2014 Share #9 Posted November 20, 2014 It is less irritating to have a soft release with no writing on it. I use a plain one and as I tend to lose them I have found this supplier useful 3x 11mm Soft Shutter Release Button For SLR Camera Leica M3 M6 M7 M8 M9 DC323S | eBay
bocaburger Posted November 21, 2014 Share #10 Posted November 21, 2014 I have tried soft releases and don't care for them, but if I was that OCD the thread timing had to be just right to position the logo a certain way, I too would opt for a plain one. Enbee Posted November 21, 2014 Share #12 Posted November 21, 2014 Thank You for this post - I got to learn about what a soft release is. I got one from the Leica store yesterday a red one - not sure what company - adds a bit of color to my chrome leica 240 and i have enjoyed shooting it today - a bit different - but I like change ! Thank You!
