Advertisement Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Hi stuny, Take a look here A southern river otter (two photos). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted November 4, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2014 Great catch! Maybe a tad Cyan on the second one? Probably late in the evening, I suppose, always difficult WB. Maybe in B&W?
stuny Posted November 4, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted November 4, 2014 Ali - Thank you. Jaap - Thank you, and you're right about the cast. I'll have to adjust it. This was relatively early in the morning, but perhaps more importantly, it was shaded.
pauledell Posted November 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2014 Stuart, A fine pair. Isn't it unusual to find these critters out in the open during the day? Paul
stuny Posted November 5, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted November 5, 2014 Dee - Thank you. Hank - Thank you. Actually, they do spend most of their "river" time underwater, usually surfacing just for breaths and/or navigation. this one hauled out briefly to eat a fish it had caught, and then went back into the water right away. Those photos are blurred.
