Cine lenses on cameras. Leica has a very large range of Lux & Cron prime lenses for cine use. they are smaller and lioghter than other cine lenses, and I suspect of better quality.

Thank you. At their cost perhaps they are better than M lenses. With one on an M you'd have a relatively cheap camera behind the lens.

I just read that a set of six Summicron cine lenses from 18mm to 100mm sell as a set for $101,000. A set of eight Summilux cine lenses will set you back $178,000.

Really beautiful!... No wonder why some people become fetishist!

These cine lenses are really something else! I have an Angenieux zoom with Nikon mount that I almost never use!... They are very rare and as you know, they are mostly made for folks in Hollywood! ... I had really good results with it and wonder how it would perform on a Leica M!

I wonder if you can get an adapter and try it.

Stuart, as it has the Nikon mount, the adapter for Nikon lenses should work. But I should get a leica M to try it. ;) It works really great on my Nikon film camera and my Nikon DSLR.
