Monochrom DNG Files and NIK

I tried to find another thread on this but could not. I have PS5 and when I try to use the NIK collection with a Monochrom dng file, I do not have that option to open NIK in filters. Is there something I am doing wrong. If I open the corresponding jpg file, I have access to all of the NIK collection. Any advice would be appreciated. Do I need to save the dng as something else or convert it?

Yes, the default setting for the Monochrom is Greyscale but that isn't very useful anyway, you can't use tone or match conventional photo papers and it would still need changing to sRGB if you wanted to save a copy as a JPEG. So best to keep the same colour space throughout and open the .dng as a 16 bit TIFF in whichever colour space you normally use.

Good point, every .dng has to come out of ACR as something, otherwise it would still be unprocessed data, so worth checking ACR settings (underneath the image when it is opened in ACR) to make sure it is being processed as the best file possible, and not an 8 bit JPEG for instance.
