vincentb Posted October 12, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I am curently using a Leica M6 from 85 (sn 1666647). But it is quite strange I have the plastic rubburs to prevent the strap scratching the body. Also, I have a red dot with "leica" on it. Plus, on the front, there is only writtent "M6" on it with big letters and no "Leica M6". What do you think ? Is it a re-composed body ? Thanks a lot

TomB_tx Posted October 12, 2014 Share #3 Posted October 12, 2014 In the Leica Chronicle Erwin Puts calls the M6 only front logo rare, and shows an example from 1989. Mine is a later 1986 (167xxxx) and has the Leica M6 on front, and the Wetzlar designation on the top plate.

vincentb Posted December 13, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted December 13, 2014 Sorry to re-update this post so lately but I wanted to put an ending word on it. I finally bought the camera. I now shot almost 20rolls since I got it and it's running so smooth. So my conclusion is : whatever it may be recomposed or something, if you like it, just use it. And here is a new happy man.
