esquire53 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 3, 2014 Hi Paul, Thanks for your kind comments. I recently looked into urban landscape and not so easy to find subjects in Houston. I tried to capture the grass in the front and the trees on the site. I would like to go back with the light from a different site, but the city is quite busy towards the end of the afternoon and dead quiet on a Sunday morning ... Hank Taylor Posted October 5, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 5, 2014 Very different parking structure I have never seen one quite like this one. Did you take in on Sunday? I like the positioning and angle it was taken. Hank
esquire53 Posted October 5, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted October 5, 2014 Yes, taken on a Sunday morning. It is at the north site of down town Houston, Brazos at I45. At a normal day quite busy
likalar Posted October 6, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Quite an unusual, almost bizarre structure. Sort of a Guggenheim Garage? The lack of activity is just perfect. What really amazes me is that there is no signage. How was the site spared of the usual array of big arrows, instructions, price schedules, etc.? Nice work! A miller Posted October 13, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 13, 2014 fantastic. very creative use of contrast and composition. The only suggestion I would make is to reverse the burned edges on the upper right. No need for it, IMHO, as the image is stellar from corner to corner. esquire53 Posted October 17, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted October 17, 2014 hi and thanks for your comment the darkish area in the top left is the monochrom blue sky effect. i typically don't process much, a bit of level and curve best regards
ShawnK Posted October 17, 2014 Share #10 Posted October 17, 2014 Almost a mirror image type. Great eye to spot it & I also like the low angle that makes it a banded effect. Spot on.
