haydenc Posted September 17, 2014 Share #21 Â Posted September 17, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm just about to download the new firmware. Quick question (that's a bit off-topic) for those using manual focus M lens. Are you using the Visoflex or the LCD? I haven't picked up the Visoflex yet (been waiting for the firmware upgrade) and am finding manual focus with the LCD a bit difficult. Now that the firmware has arrived, is this a necessary accessory? Â I find the EVF quite easy to get focus with. After reading Jono's recommendation about trying without any focus assistance, it didn't take long to get the hang of it. Shooting wide open you get a shimmer or digital jaggedness (word?) to what is in focus compared to what is not. It is easier to see in the evf than the LCD for me. It is not much bigger than the ZIP-File.

You will then see a file named T701_V12.TUF. Move this file to the SD card according to the instructions you presumably downloaded from Leica's site as well. Don't try to open the file. sharookh Posted September 17, 2014 Share #25  Posted September 17, 2014 Thanks guys, figured it out. I was double clicking on the TUF file to unzip. Didn't realise that it had already unzipped whilst downloading.  Thanks again……..

Bluedun Posted September 23, 2014 Share #27 Â Posted September 23, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very pleased with the upgraded firmware; I was thinking the camera was going to be too slow for street work, but not now. Well done Leica.
