I have great respect for E Puts
What he writes is really serious and always very interesting and enriching

I did not know that Leica has worked hard to release the M7.

What I read about the mechanisms of the shutter and how manufacturing curtains

is quite unique.  This is a jewel :)
The old (M3 and M5) and the new in one box
!

Thanks Harold for this reminder link

Cheers

Henry

I don't fully understand why this is true

Is there more info I can read on this ?

This is just my experience, together with that of my photo friends who share the same findings, having excluded other factors like own dark room handling and/or lab development in about 25 years of film processing

The combo for street photo  :)

I have a grip because the metal parts of the strap  scratch the camera

when I put in my bag

Summarit 35mm f/2.4

What is the risk with the strap in a bag?

TY.

....  a grip because the metal parts of the strap  scratch the camera everywhere

when I put in my bag (as I said above)

and secondly the strap attachment rings get damaged !

This is only a great plus because winding too fast causes scratches on the film

However, if you rewind the film too slow fungus will start to grow on the film surface, making little naughty photo bombs on your pictures...

Nonsense!  If there's a particle inside your camera that causes a scratch, then the scratch will be there whether you rewind fast or slow.

I tried some marco but I need an OUFRO adapter between the lens and the Visoflex III to get 1:1 repro ratio ;) I think the M7 auto exposure is great for this setup.

Thanks, it's the Summarit 50/2.5 lens (now replaced by the 50/2.4). I like the hood and E39 filter size on this lens.

I'm looking into getting a Summicron 50/2, the 50mm lens is perfect with the 0.85 viewfinder on my M7. I also ordered a B+W Soft Pro filter to see if it renders like a soft older lens.
