otto.f Posted April 18, 2015 Share #141 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) The MP rewind is slower though, but very solid This is only a great plus because winding too fast causes scratches on the film Edited April 18, 2015 by otto.f

colonel Posted April 20, 2015 Share #142 Posted April 20, 2015 To celebrate Erwin Putts re-releasing his legacy reviews (I don't know why he ever took them off), I would like to link here to the M7 one: http://www.imx.nl/photo/leica/camera/Leica-camera/M7_start.html A source of interest and affirmation. Doc Henry Posted April 20, 2015 Author Share #145 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) I have great respect for E PutsWhat he writes is really serious and always very interesting and enriching I did not know that Leica has worked hard to release the M7. What I read about the mechanisms of the shutter and how manufacturing curtains is quite unique. This is a jewel The old (M3 and M5) and the new in one box ! Thanks Harold for this reminder link Cheers Henry Edited April 20, 2015 by Doc Henry
otto.f Posted April 20, 2015 Share #146 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) I don't fully understand why this is true Is there more info I can read on this ? This is just my experience, together with that of my photo friends who share the same findings, having excluded other factors like own dark room handling and/or lab development in about 25 years of film processing Edited April 20, 2015 by otto.f

Thanks for posting Best Henry Summarit 35mm f/2.4 What is the risk with the strap in a bag? TY. .... a grip because the metal parts of the strap scratch the camera everywhere when I put in my bag (as I said above) and secondly the strap attachment rings get damaged ! Welcome, dear visitor! Doc Henry Posted May 14, 2015 Author Share #156 Posted May 14, 2015 If you want my opinion, sell all your cameras including digital and buy a M6 ...meanwhile I try to know the address of the Leica store Best Henry
Guest Posted May 19, 2015 Share #157 Posted May 19, 2015 This is only a great plus because winding too fast causes scratches on the film However, if you rewind the film too slow fungus will start to grow on the film surface, making little naughty photo bombs on your pictures... Nonsense! If there's a particle inside your camera that causes a scratch, then the scratch will be there whether you rewind fast or slow.
Ellie Posted May 24, 2015 Share #158 Posted May 24, 2015 I tried some marco but I need an OUFRO adapter between the lens and the Visoflex III to get 1:1 repro ratio I think the M7 auto exposure is great for this setup. Thanks for posting Best Henry * Ellie it's a summilux or summicron 50 on your M7 ? Thanks, it's the Summarit 50/2.5 lens (now replaced by the 50/2.4). I like the hood and E39 filter size on this lens. I'm looking into getting a Summicron 50/2, the 50mm lens is perfect with the 0.85 viewfinder on my M7. I also ordered a B+W Soft Pro filter to see if it renders like a soft older lens.
