citrus Posted October 7, 2007 Share #31 Posted October 7, 2007 I have noticed that a number of posters seem not to post multiple photos with plenty of space, or text/titles between them. Maybe that's ok for them but I found it an annoying feature of the new forum. So with thanks to jmr who let me in on "the secret" here's a brief tutorial! I'll put a reference to this thread in each section of the Photo forum so as to get it more widely known and maybe one of the Moderators could consider placing the technique in the FAQ section? 1. Make sure your Message Editor Interface (under Edit Options in Control Panel) is set to Enhanced Interface. 2. Always use the paperclip icon to pull up the Manage Attachments Pop-up. Select your file and upload. Wait until it is uploaded. Close the window. 3. Repeat as often as needed using the paperclip. You should see a list of your files gradually building up on the drop down box that appears. 4. At the bottom of the list there should now be a selectable field saying "Insert All" - click on that and.... Bingo! 5. You will see in your message text some text saying [ATTACH] xxxxxx{/ATTACH] as appropriate for the number of photos you are uploading. You can now split the photos up spacing and adding text in between to your heart's content. 6. You can review the reuslts in Preview posting, and amend if needed. 7. Good Luck! Cheers! Theodor Heinrichsohn Posted January 16, 2008 Share #32 Posted January 16, 2008 I have noticed that a number of posters seem not to post multiple photos with plenty of space, or text/titles between them. Maybe that's ok for them but I found it an annoying feature of the new forum. So with thanks to jmr who let me in on "the secret" here's a brief tutorial! I'm a complete computer dud, so please tolerate my stupid question: I can't find any of the things you mention. I'm using a Mac and have not managed to post any pictures, single or multiple. Can anyone assist? Thanks, Teddy
andybarton Posted January 16, 2008 Share #33 Posted January 16, 2008 You must make sure that the settings in your user Control Panel are set to full WYSIWYG mode. The Control Panel can be found at the top left of the window here. Hang in there - we will help you!
Dr. John Huntsberger Posted May 9, 2008 Share #34 Posted May 9, 2008 What am I to do? My camera has been with Leica for two months! I was told it would be here on the 8th at Precision Camera store in Austin, Texas. It did not arrive then or today, the 9th. I am leaving the state on Monday and it seems, without my camera. I won't return until October/November. I am very angry with Leica for advertising such a fine product but then not fixing it in a reasonable amount of time. While I am not a professional photographer, I pay the same money they do for the product and expect to at least be communicated with over any kinds of problems such as this one concerning my camera's return. Please respond, John

jimbo035 Posted January 25, 2009 Share #38 Posted January 25, 2009 er , Brian's "how to" instructions look as if they are for Windows users .... Must be somebody out there with a Mac to tell me the different technique. So far I note that a jpeg from iPhoto '06 can be "Exported" (e.g. to Documents) simultaneously re-sizing the same. So if you have a Mac with iPhoto '06, tell me how to upload a Leica photo, please.
spylaw4 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Share #39 Posted January 25, 2009 Actually jimbo my instructions were done on my Mac! They should be universal AFAIK. I suggest that you should go back to the beginning of this thread, read it through to pick up some supplementary tips, and follow the steps. If you have your photo exported somewhere at the right size (pixels and Kb), the post- "paperclip" pop-up window allows you to select your image from its location. Chuckcars Posted January 25, 2009 Share #40 Posted January 25, 2009 Think of it like this forum does all the work, it only wants you to tell it where, on your hard drive, the image is located so the forum can do the upload. You do not instruct iPhoto to upload/export to the forum thread being created.
