Advertisement Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Hi cbretteville, Take a look here What removes Sharpie-ink?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chetccox Posted May 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 3, 2007 I use the wipes that come in the plastic bottle and pull out through the top. They can be purchased at office max etc. They have a small amount of alcohol on them and work great to remove the mistakes. I am sure any paper with a small amount of alcohol would do the same thing. blakley Posted May 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 3, 2007 Nail polish remover is extremely effective. Wouldn't advise getting it on a lens surface, though.
marknorton Posted May 3, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 3, 2007 I definitely wouldn't use nail polish remover. Try something like iso-propyl alcohol or Eclipse fluid which is basically methanol. You could also try neat Vodka...
mboerma Posted May 3, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 3, 2007 Whiteboard marker is really the best solution. Precise and effective! Just use the whiteboard marker to go over the sharpies "permanent" ink and use a clean cloth to remove.

Actually, pretty soon we'll all have a plentiful supply of nail polishes and remover on hand. I'm gonna work on the explanation for my cousins from the dairy farm. And, don't forget to take it all out of the kit before boarding a plane.

Just use the whiteboard marker to go over the sharpies "permanent" ink and use a clean cloth to remove. Off cause! the trick when the permanent marker has been used on the white board. I should have remembered that. Thanks guys! - C

charlesphoto99 Posted May 3, 2007 Share #12 Posted May 3, 2007 I use the PEC print cleaner I have laying around. Probably any sort of "Goof Off" type cleaner would work. Lots of them out there made specifically to remove pen marks.
