Pecole Posted July 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a complement of examples of digitalized B&W negatives dating more than 50 years, taken with a IIIf and Summitar, showing surprizing quality after being stored without any special care. I started the series under the "Landscape & Travel" thread on July 25th (and added a few more under the same thread today), and have yet more today under "People", "Nature & Wildlife" and "Other". The four photos attached were taken at a place called "Wolu Mill", in a Brussels suburb where I lived my youth. They illustrate a watermill built in the 17th century in a village called Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, now included in the Belgian capital city. Personally, I am fascinated by the architecture - or "building" - of these early times, using all natural opportunities to serve human needs and yet searching harmony and beauty. Should be (is it always so?) the aim of architecture today as well, no? Welcome, dear visitor!
