I saw your picture scaned by Leica M8. It’s wonderful. Can 10.3 MP sensor really do that good? I got a deal in ebay with 225euro for like new Leica Beoon. Should i try? Advertisement Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Hi Doanduy, Take a look here M8 and BEOON. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.noctilux Posted August 18, 2020 Share #42 Posted August 18, 2020 Many thanks. Only you can decide if you buy or not the Beoon. Those old "things" are unique only if one can make good use of it. They become quite scarse and scarcer over years. I've bought mine so long ago (I think the good price by then as I've never been rich), I forgot the price = good thing as we say "quality remains, while price forgotten" (or something like that). Don't forget that the original slides or negatives are the most important when scanned. Mediocre originals would stay mediocre even scanned with the best scanner of 200 M pixels (if exist ) 😉.

Thank you for posting this. I have been using BEOON for past few years with M240 to scan 35mm negatives and now wanted to scan 120 film. I found my setup for 35mm by trial and error but it is great to have the manual. I will need that to figure out how to scan bigger negative.
a.noctilux Posted August 19, 2024 Share #45 Posted August 19, 2024 (edited) Bigger negative can be done of course. I scanned 24x65mm negatives from Xpan with BEOON + "bigger" right mask.
