wlaidlaw Posted July 10, 2014 Share #1  Posted July 10, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought I would get the best effect with the 18mm SEM but the odd cloud formation is not as obvious on a 2D photo. It is still a spectacular sky. We have had very high winds for summer over the last 36 hours, gusting to over 110 kph on my anemometer, which is what I assume is making these odd clouds. Taken from my terrace in Provence.  Wilson Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! larsv Posted July 10, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted July 10, 2014 Very nice, Wilson. Would you get more depth in the clouds by increasing the contrast? Â Btw, I noticed a blob of sky dropped down to the bottom left corner

I tried it globally and it made the foreground too granular and visible. It’s funny when you are flying over in a helicopter, you see those little patches of sky all over the place in the south of France.  Wilson
pauledell Posted July 11, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted July 11, 2014 Wilson, Â A fine picture with the clouds. There is a twig from a tree showing in the upper left corner which you may want to clone or crop. Â Paul
stuny Posted July 11, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted July 11, 2014 Beautiful, and with a near-3D effect on my inferior work monitor.
wlaidlaw Posted July 11, 2014 Author Share #7 Â Posted July 11, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been trying to improve it. I have cloned out the little branch top left but I never understood why Adobe removed the contrast brush from Photoshop and made local contrast adjustments so difficult with masks etc. You now have to stand on your head and whistle Dixie to do a local contrast adjustment. I should go back to the original DNG and use the contrast brush in Capture One. Â Wilson
