Advertisement Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Hi Iduna, Take a look here roses with droplets. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
euston Posted July 6, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2014 They are all lovely, Iduna, and beautifully photographed. I like the combination of sharp and soft focus in each picture. It suits the subject. Nicely done!
Iduna Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 6, 2014 Euston, thank you so much. For the time being I am "focussed" on this soft look which you can create with Leica lenses. You mentioned the sharpness and softness at the same time. With a Leica lens you can have this type of glamour which we all like so very much. pauledell Posted July 6, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 6, 2014 Iduna, Each shot is beautiful with the colors, selective focus and framing. I find no favorite among the series. Lovely drops from heaven deposited on the delicate petals of the rose. Paul

fotografr Posted July 7, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 7, 2014 I keep thinking I'll get tired of flower photos--I know I'm tired of my own. But there are a handful of people on this forum who somehow manage to keep making them increasingly beautiful and always interesting. Your name is high on that select list. The light quality, composition and focus control in this series is just outstanding. And, of course, the water droplets are a nice bonus.
Iduna Posted July 7, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted July 7, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul, this is one of your extra kind and careful comments. I know to appreciate it and it keeps me going. Thanks a lot. Stuart, nice nice, thank you. Brent, wow, what a nice comment! To be honest I also thought that these flower-shooting business gets boring but: it will not. I am always trying to make visible a new approach by finding out how a feeling can be expressed. For the time being it consists in a kind of making it a bit distant by telelenses or softening achromas etc. and yet the depth comes out if your focus is correct. This process is never going to end and become dull because the light is different every day and so is the texture the shining of the blossom petals etc. I am afraid with the type of macro look you have more or less always the same perspective. Brent, thank you very much, your comment is a great support and inspiration.
