Jon Warwick Posted July 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, just purchased an M 240 from a dealer in the UK. Was surprised that the cables it came with for the battery charger were EU and US plugs, with no cable with a UK plug in the box. Is that normal? masjah Posted July 5, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2014 Jon, yes, although you should have been provided with a UK plug and cable separately. If not, then contact the dealer bbecause it means they forgot to give you one.
ayewing Posted July 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2014 Yes that is what happened when I bought my M240 last year. I think the UK plug is too big to fit into Leica's elegant packaging. It was not a problem as I have several figure of eight leads with the UK plug some of them still in original wrapping. They come with many consumer products. jrh68uk Posted July 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2014 When I bought my Typ 240 at the Mayfair store I was given a U.K. cable in a separate pack. I mentioned my surprise because my M9 (previously bought from a different dealer) had a Euro plug only and so I just assumed it was normal and used a shaver adapter plug with it. They explained that it was standard practice that all Leica uk dealers were meant to provide the uk cable separately because they don't fit in the box. 250swb Posted July 6, 2014 Share #5 Posted July 6, 2014 I got a UK plug with mine although I don't use it. With so many cameras now needing a shaver adapter I just keep that plugged into the wall socket instead. Steve
