Advertisement Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Hi agencal, Take a look here APO 50 images. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jan1985 Posted October 15, 2015 Share #342 Posted October 15, 2015 Now I've decided to buy an APO 50mm after testing it intensively. I hope i will have fun with this lens. I am impressed of the Performance on the Monochrom. I will now see if i use it more than my beloved Noctilix 0.95... I just had both lenses on recent Commercial Shootings. I sticked the Noctilux on my M9 and the APO on the Monochrom...
BerndReini Posted October 15, 2015 Share #343 Posted October 15, 2015 The other way around is fantastic too: put the Apo on the M9 and the Noctilux on the MM. The color with the Apo is so vibrant and clean without any fringing. It gives the M9 even more pop.

At first i was more interested in the performace and medium Format Quality in combination with the MM. I only made some test shots with the m9. but in These few shots i have seen what you mean... it is totally outstanding...
carta Posted October 16, 2015 Share #345 Posted October 16, 2015 Nothing special, most of the "forest" photos were taken by the 50mm http://sisekisai.jp/va/gallery-yakushima/

don daniel Posted October 25, 2015 Share #349 Posted October 25, 2015 Jan, you can throw away your Noctilux. Your pictures with the Apo 50 on the Monochrom are stunning!
Jan1985 Posted October 25, 2015 Share #350 Posted October 25, 2015 Jan, you can throw away your Noctilux. Your pictures with the Apo 50 on the Monochrom are stunning! Thank you, Daniel! That's very nice. Indeed, i start loving the APO more and more. But i will never throw the Nocti away. I love both of these lenses and their qualities. It is very interesting if you use both lenses for example on a wedding or portrait shoot. the result is of a very special and interesting mix of captures... The APO is truly one or THE best lens i ever worked with. Thanks to Leica for such an amazing instrument. I like a lot of pictures in this thread.
don daniel Posted October 25, 2015 Share #351 Posted October 25, 2015 In German we have the expression "Kitsch". When something is just too beautiful, sugar trash, I don't know if the English speaking know what I mean. But this is the job that can be done by the Noctilux. Sugary bokeh around beautiful women, wedding stuff. The Apo has a nice and soft bokeh as well but its expression is always clear. I prefer the latter.

EoinC Posted October 25, 2015 Share #353 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) I only have the APO 50 and a Summilux 35 for my M246. The Apo 50 haedly ever comes off the camera - Not because the 35 is not a good lens, but because the 50 is so stunning. d006 by Eoin Christie, on Flickr Edited October 25, 2015 by EoinC

When something is just too beautiful, sugar trash, I don't know if the English speaking know what I mean. Yes, Kitsch has been assimilated into the English language to imply something with a vulgar appeal or 'cuteness'.
