Pobble Posted June 14, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted June 14, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The technical data for the Apo 50 Summicron has disappeared from the Leice website. The website also blocks acces to the classic 50 Summicron, which it lists as "ASPH." Â Anyone know what this implies?

Pobble Posted June 17, 2014 Author Share #4 Â Posted June 17, 2014 Checked Leica website today - still no technical data entry for Apo Summicron 50 and when I click on Summicron ASH 50 ? whatever that is - get to an image of someone lying on a bench with comment "you are not allowed to view this page" Â This is a recent phenomenon
semi-ambivalent Posted June 17, 2014 Share #5  Posted June 17, 2014 I don't know what kind of technical data you're looking for but you can go to:  M-System Lenses - Leica Store Miami  They do a better job than Leica; no dead links.  s-a  (Full disclosure: I don't work for these people. If I was going to shill I'd shill for Dan Tamarkin. But I'm not going to. )

semi-ambivalent Posted June 17, 2014 Share #8 Â Posted June 17, 2014 Damned if I know what web site he's linked to, it's not Leica. Â Well, I tell you I was wrong about dead links on Leica's site. What I meant was links that took you out of the "area" you were in without indicating it was going to do that. For example clicking on an image of the 21SEM and you're suddenly on a page for the M(240). I was just at the Leica site and I poked around but couldn't duplicate my earlier experiences. I apologize for the bad choice of words. Â s-a
