Well, this certainly did not begin auspiciously did it?

Today was the first time I saw the original opening photo of this post on a real display and it is terrible: noise, blurred, flat, unsharp....beyond belief and inept, and unsurprisingly mistaken, in its aim

Shaking my head at how bad it is

Here's why

I used an online photo editor (PIXLR) on a wavering and heavily-used wireless signal to desaturate and resize the file to fit on the Forum because I don't have any real photo editing software on the little net book I travel with

Fortunately the situation is fixable, and I've re-posted an image from this fabulous new addition to the M camera line

I can't wait to get home and process the RAW image in Capture One, which I'm certain is going to be better still than this basic JPEG

Yes, I began the MP thread; but so many great photogs have contributed to it that it really is every MP owner's thread now

As an aside, one of the best threads ever on the Forum was the “How do you look like?” post that began an avalanche of camera-forward selfies that eventually found their way onto a poster with everyone’s image on it

Great fun

Please feel free to add an image of your Leica M Type 240 (I guess no one likes my nomenclature) with or without yourself

I'm having trouble understanding this post. Did the OP deliberately post a highly compressed, blurry mirror selfie to express that he thinks that's all the T is capable of? I don't get it. It does come across as a somewhat of a belittlement of the T and prospective owners. I'm not sure that's the intention, but I the joke is over my head. I'm not buying the T, but I've played with it and it is a very capable camera.

The OP is a highly experienced and accomplished photographer who flits in and out of the forums. Allan, why did you post such an uncharacteristically technically flawed self-portrait?
