Today was the first time I saw the original opening photo of this post on a real display and it is terrible: noise, blurred, flat, unsharp....beyond belief and inept, and unsurprisingly mistaken, in its aim Shaking my head at how bad it is Here's why I used an online photo editor (PIXLR) on a wavering and heavily-used wireless signal to desaturate and resize the file to fit on the Forum because I don't have any real photo editing software on the little net book I travel with Fortunately the situation is fixable, and I've re-posted an image from this fabulous new addition to the M camera line I can't wait to get home and process the RAW image in Capture One, which I'm certain is going to be better still than this basic JPEG Yes, I began the MP thread; but so many great photogs have contributed to it that it really is every MP owner's thread now As an aside, one of the best threads ever on the Forum was the “How do you look like?” post that began an avalanche of camera-forward selfies that eventually found their way onto a poster with everyone’s image on it Great fun Please feel free to add an image of your Leica M Type 240 (I guess no one likes my nomenclature) with or without yourself
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Advertisement Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Hi abrewer, Take a look here I REALLY love my Leica M Type 240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
DigitalHeMan Posted June 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 8, 2014 Bit hard to see from the photo as there is quite a bit of motion blur or unsharpness, but what is a T240? A T with the M adapter? An as yet unannounced M240 with a T mount? Or just a normal M240?
DigitalHeMan Posted June 8, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 8, 2014 Or possibly a Type 240 M. Enjoy the (new?) camera. I'll go away now
Herr Barnack Posted June 8, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 8, 2014 Even with the movement, it appears to be an M240 - the logo placement and size and the button on the front of the body (just in front of his middle finger) give it away. I think the "T" refers to the Type 240 designation...
ayewing Posted June 8, 2014 Share #5 Posted June 8, 2014 It appears to be a self portrait taken using a mirror. The Exif data shows that it was taken with an M Typ240.

BerndReini Posted June 9, 2014 Share #8 Posted June 9, 2014 I'm having trouble understanding this post. Did the OP deliberately post a highly compressed, blurry mirror selfie to express that he thinks that's all the T is capable of? I don't get it. It does come across as a somewhat of a belittlement of the T and prospective owners. I'm not sure that's the intention, but I the joke is over my head. I'm not buying the T, but I've played with it and it is a very capable camera.
farnz Posted June 9, 2014 Share #9 Posted June 9, 2014 The op started the thread "I love my MP" that has 3,000+ posts of members showing their MP's in another sub forum and I think this is him starting a similar thread for the Leica M (Typ 240) here. Pete.
BerndReini Posted June 9, 2014 Share #10 Posted June 9, 2014 See that's the internet for you. I misread the whole thing as an offensive challenge to our T neighbors. Thanks for the clarification.
wda Posted June 9, 2014 Share #11 Posted June 9, 2014 The OP is a highly experienced and accomplished photographer who flits in and out of the forums. Allan, why did you post such an uncharacteristically technically flawed self-portrait?
hamey Posted June 10, 2014 Share #12 Posted June 10, 2014 When I bought my M240 last month I was apprehensive about it, perhaps because I didn't fully understand it I suppose. But now it's growing on me. It's certainly a thing of beauty. Ken.
mwilliamsphotography Posted June 10, 2014 Share #13 Posted June 10, 2014 Perhaps the OP up-loaded the wrong image? Terrible IQ. - Marc
justj Posted June 10, 2014 Share #14 Posted June 10, 2014 Obviously, the op REALLY loves his camera and got too excited and trembles uncontrollably when taking this picture.
