Hank Taylor Posted May 29, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 29, 2014 Louis great, nice shot lovely lady, but where was this taken, certainly no modesty apparent with the view from outside. Hank
stuny Posted May 30, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 30, 2014 Louis - Excellent shot. The same artist (Carol Feuerman - Carole A. Feuerman) has other life-size pieces in both SOHO and Chelsea galleries in Manhattan, and has her studio here. I've admired her work often. I posted a photo of at least one of her pieces a while back.
Louis Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted May 30, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul, Iduna, Philipp, Hank, and Stuart, thank you very much for your feedback! Stuart, you didn't let me to pull our friends leg further! Yes, indeed, what Carole Feuerman is doing is really spectacular! But my favorite in this style of art is the Australian artist, Ron Mueck, https://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/ronmueck/ About 25 years ago, when I first saw one his work ( a nude woman in a normal size) in an exhibition in Paris, I was shocked and really believed it was a human being! What he does with the skin is much more natural. Here is my model as it was exposed: Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted May 30, 2014 Share #8 Posted May 30, 2014 Beautiful. When I saw a Muek in a Santa Fe museum (of a janitor) it took quite some time before I realized it was what it was. His work is a bit more like a Lucien Freud painting, ruthlessly showing the subject as he/she is, rahter than idealized as the ancient Greeks did and Carol Feuerman does.
