RobertJRB Posted May 22, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica just put a new camera on their website. The MM is now available in silver. Difference with the silver M9p is no inscription on top and no vulcanite. Further it looks just the same. Leica M Monochrom // M-System // Photography - Leica Camera AG Happy I traded my silver M9p for a black MM last week. Would have been hard to choose between both MM's

Leica M Monochrom // M-System // Photography - Leica Camera AG Happy I traded my silver M9p for a black MM last week. Would have been hard to choose between both MM's I think it is only available in a M-100 set together with an M-A and 3 special lenses. It's not available separately as far as I can see. TW528 Posted May 22, 2014 Share #4 Posted May 22, 2014 The MM is available separately in the new silver finish. The one in the set is Stainless Steel.
Hamad Posted May 22, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 22, 2014 I don't know if you all feel the same. Very disappointed with Leica's today announcement . They launched 100th anniversary M and MP only limited to 101 unites. They are targeting 101 super rich celebrities (no offense) who will only keep the camera in their draws or shelves. And ignored all Day To Day photographers who flood LFI form and other forms with their images and are back bone of Leica and it's accessories. I don't know how many of you can afford this but I am sure you all are reason why Leica still exists. Had Leica made M240 or M9 with 100th anniversary LOGO I m sure most of us would have loved to put our hands on it and keep it as a collection and feel part of this so called "LEICA FAMILY" ... And selling it as a set is a very cle chia to focus on top deep pocket "May be Leica Users" I love to use my Leica and will continue using it. But will also share this with all. I'm hoping that Photokina will bring something for us mere mortals. I like the look of the M-A. Mike.

Jeff S Posted May 23, 2014 Share #9 Posted May 23, 2014 Not sure you can buy silver mm, separately, I could be wrong, part of set only You can now, for same price as black, as here, for instance. Announced separately, and fairly quietly. Chrome, not stainless as set. Jeff

Jeff S Posted May 23, 2014 Share #14 Posted May 23, 2014 Wi.Fi on board? No in handgrip as M Typ 240? Wrong thread, and camera. The just announced silver chrome MM is identical to the current MM except for the finish. The rumored M230, reported here remains to be determined. TW528 Posted May 23, 2014 Share #15 Posted May 23, 2014 It's been suggested the silver chrome MM will be a limited run not to be confused with the even more limited run of just 101 stainless steel MM as part of the limited edition set. I guess it would be a limited run if there really is a new MM Type 230 coming out in the fall.
