I have to watch the weather closely, as the open bay waters can get nasty for smaller vessels. Mornings tend to be calmer. On wednesday, a nice officer in a police boat gave me an escort away from the area. Nobody has bothered me for 8 years photographing this project, and I use common sense, but on the last 2 trips I was asked to leave. He mentioned safety, not security. The new policy might have something to do with all the bad publicity lately, very critical of the new bridge.
