fotografr Posted May 9, 2014 Share #1  Posted May 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Like pretty much everyone here, I've been really impressed with the way Louis photographs, processes and presents his flower shots. His flowers are brilliantly lit and the backgrounds subdued so as not to detract. They are always amazing. I've been trying to achieve a similar effect, but am clearly not there yet. That's one of the main benefits of this forum--the way we can inspire each other to improve our photography.  DLux6 Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted May 9, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted May 9, 2014 Brent, Â I agree with you about Louis and his photography. These pictures you have taken are quite excellent too. I love the composition, colors, sharpness and the background of both of them. I prefer the first shot. Â Paul
Iduna Posted May 9, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted May 9, 2014 Brent, Â Louis is an expert and it is nice of you to mention this. Your shots are different but equally appealing in color and composition. The DLux6 is capable of a great DOF and this can be exploited as you are showing here. Colors are crisp and sharpness is fine. These tulips are like little sculptures. Greetings: John Basso. Â John--I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience on another forum, which I won't ask you to name. I was unaware of this previously. While people here can get testy, the kind of nonsense that occurs on other web forums is not tolerated here and everyone has a more pleasant experience because of it. Glad to have you and Louis aboard.
