It was very nice to meet "the usual suspects" as well as meeting more members in real life. My best thanks, also from my mother, for joining and your insights.

Very special thanks to Pete for the organization and the bus-tour.

All the best

Stefan

Thank you to everybody who was able to come along and help to make it a very pleasant day. It was very nice to meet Stefan again and Stefan's mum Anne for the first time and I hope the day was pleasant, informative, and paced about right.:) Coming across choir practice in St Martin's in the Fields was an unexpected bonus and really quite wonderful.

Here are a few shots from the day to get us started; all with Leica M and 50/1.4 Summilux asph.

Pete.

So pleased you all seemed to have had such a good time. When I landed at Heathrow it was chucking it down and I thought of you all wondering around London in the miserable weather. However, judging by the photo's it seemed to have been decent in the city.

Look forward to seeing more images and catching you with you soon.

Cheers, Tom

Last minute decision, but pleased I went.

It was nice to meet up with old friends and some new, especially Stefan and his mother.

Thanks Pete for organising the meet and also for arranging the weather. It was forecast to be miserable all day, when actually it turned out to be quite a pleasant.

The weather sneakily lured us out with warm, bright, sunshine, waited 'till we were as far as we could be from the Garrick Arms, and then played its horizontal rain trump card. Gotcha!

To be fair the weather was surprisingly good and the BBC forecast surprisingly bad. Other forecasts like RainToday.com were much closer.

Sorry you both weren't in a position to join us, Tom.:o

Yes, thanks for organising, Pete.

Sorry not to join the walkabout - ongoing foot issue, rather than the risk of being rained on! Still, Bob, Mike, George and I enjoyed our chinwag back in the pub whilst the rest of you were being proper 'togs.

Cheers

Is this a weather forecast?

Damned cunning, the weather. ;)

Many thanks to Pete for arranging this get together, with its opportunity to meet Stefan, his mother and other more familiar faces.

The framing could be better on this one; it was only later that I realised everyone depicted was a member of our group and the ordinary non Leica touting members of the public had had the decency to stay out of shot. :)

We were quite lucky to stumble by chance over excellent music.

Since I knew the St Martin the Fields from CD covers only, I subconsciously assumed it to be a small village in the countryside and was surprised to find it next to Trafalgar Square. But then, some hundred years ago, it probably was in "the fields".

As a side note, churches appear to be one of the public places, where it is accepted to take a nap.

Portra 400 and Summicron 35 Asph.
